Attorney Robert Wisnicki, AKA “Dovi” of Woodmere, Long Island, was recently sentenced to 78 months in Otisville Federal prison for operating a Ponzi real estate investment scheme. In 2013 Eliyahu Weinstein, of Lakewood NJ, pleaded guilty to running a $225 million Ponzi scheme with many co-conspirators, including another Lakewood guy named Alex Schleider. Weinstein got sentenced to 22 years in Federal prison in 2014. In 2021, after spending 8 years in Federal prison, Weinstein’s sentence was commuted by President Trump and Weinstein was free.
