Paul Boyne Gets 20 Years Prison for Cyber stalking CT Judges

Paul Boyne was tried and convicted of 18 felony and misdemeanor counts of cyber stalking a number of CT family court judges on his family law circus blog. The trial lasted a couple of weeks. In his defense Paul Boyne argued that his rants against the Judges were protected by the First Amendment. The jury found otherwise. Judge Peter Ford sentenced Mr. Boyne to a very lengthy sentence of 20 years of incarceration.

Paul Boyne was sentenced by Judge Peter Ford, the same Judge who increased Mr. Boyne’s bond from $5K to $1.5 million dollars during jury selection because Boyne posted the State’s witness list on his blog, or so it would seem, as Ford expressed anger at the publication of the witness list and then increased the bond. You can read the details in the public defenders’ brief below, which was filed with the Supreme Court seeking to overturn the $1.5 million bond. Judge Ford dropped the $1.5 million bond the day the appeal was to be heard at the Supreme Court, and released Mr. Boyne.

There was no evidence during Boyne’s trial showing that Boyne, a 64 year old disabled former Naval officer who lived in Virginia, personally presented any threat to any Connecticut Judge, as he never ventured outside of the State of Virginia and stayed home to care for his elderly parents.

CT Judges complained to the Feds some years ago but the Department of Justice declined to prosecute Mr. Boyne. The Judges complained that they were being “terrorized” on line by Mr. Boyne and purchased guns and installed security at their houses. Its not clear in these cyber stalking cases whether terrorizing someone on-line ever leads to violence. Every now and then a case does lead to real victims, such as when Alex Jones, who has a following of millions of readers, created fake news and told his readers that Sandy Hook was a conspiracy and they should take action against the conspirators. A number of his readers harassed the parents of the victims of Sandy Hook. Paul Boyne didn’t have anything even approaching the following of Alex Jones, and there was no evidence that any judge was ever harassed by a reader of the Paul Boyne blog.

Mr. Boyne had no criminal record. A 20 year jail sentence is probably one of the longest sentence ever handed down, in State or Federal court for that matter, to a cyber stalker with no criminal record. The CT Department of Probation asked that Boyne serve “only” ten long years. Before trial Mr. Boyne was offered a plea deal that would have only resulted in a few months of jail time, but Paul is stubborn. I spoke with Paul many times and told him he was crazy not to take a deal. He wouldn’t listen to anyone.

Studies show that there is a “trial tax” imposed by CT Judges when you exercise your Constitutional right to a jury trial. Your sentence will be far higher than had you taken a plea deal offered by the State’s Attorney. This is how the State deters defendants who are considered “innocent until proven guilty” from wasting State resources with a lengthy jury trial. Prosecutors have all the power, which can result in abuse of power, such as the many years that prosecutors used corrupt cops like Vincent Raucci to obtain convictions in the City of New Haven.

Recently Judge Peter Brown sentenced a pedophile to 30 years in prison who was convicted of repeatedly raping two individuals from the age of 8 to the age of 18. Recently Judge Brown sentenced a man named Daniel Cervoni to only 30 months of incarceration for raping a Quinnipiac student while she was passed out and helpless. Judge Brown recently sentenced one Corey Booker to five years of incarceration after a jury found him guilty of repeatedly sexually molesting a girl from the age of 6 to the age of 14.

A Chicago man was recently sentenced to 5 years in prison for cyber stalking his two ex-girlfriends, by posting semi nude pictures online, cyber stalking them, harassing friends, family and employer, and creating websites using their names. Rabbi Daniel Greer was sentenced to 14 years of incarceration after being convicted of repeatedly raping a 15 year old student at his boarding school in New Haven. Greer’s school, the Yeshiva of New Haven, for decades recruited “problem” teenage students from broken homes to be given “special” one on one learning with Rabbi Greer, who would help them with their “behavioral problems.”

Former Bridgeport, Connecticut Mayor Joseph Ganim was sentenced to nine years in federal prison for 16 counts of racketeering, bribery, extortion, and tax fraud. He ultimately served about seven years in prison and a halfway house before completing his sentence in 2010. Former Governor John Rowland served 10 months of a year-and-a-day sentence for a 2004 political corruption conviction. He served approximately 18 months out of a 30-month sentence for a 2014 campaign fraud and conspiracy conviction.

  1. You can publish this 😁 I’m a judicial abuse advocate. I have watched many cases concerning parents being abused by the CT. jewdiciary system!! including myself 😭 No judges were harmed in these posts and none will ever be.. Because we make viable reports on the judges, we are retaliated against.. It’s time they make peace with families and stop breaking up families and making it a money making racket!!!
