Attorney Yona Gregory Gets Sued for Harassment & Vexatious Litigation

New London based divorce attorney Beth Steele, of the law firm DiFrancesca & Steele is the chairperson of an ethical committee that regulates lawyers who seek to restore their law license after their license was suspended for some period of time. Real estate attorney Yona Gregory is a member of the same committee. These two lawyers don’t have any experience in legal ethics law as far as I can tell. Beth Steele argued a few Appeals before the Appellate and Supreme Court, but nothing having to do with legal ethics. It doesn’t appear that Yona Gregory ever had a case before the CT Appellate or Supreme Court in her decades of practicing law in CT. I don’t believe they ever represented anyone in an ethics matter before they were somehow appointed to their ethical committee positions. It doesn’t take much to get an appointment on these committees. They are volunteer positions. CT lawyers don’t like doing anything unless it involves significant monetary compensation, I know, I worked in the system for twenty years.

Steele spends most of her day battling with clients and lawyers over custody, alimony, and property distribution. Yona spends most of her day doing closings or evicting tenants from their apartments, or sends a flunkie from her office to do her dirty work. I knew Steele’s partner Don DiFrancesca back in the old days when I represented clients in divorce cases. He was a decent guy, but a typical divorce attorney, flamboyant and full of himself.

Yet these two lawyers had the chutzpah to deny my former bunkie at Otisville Federal prison his law license after it had been suspended for a criminal tax conviction. He did only six months in Otisville. When he reapplied for his law license, these two callous individuals DENIED his application based on a hearing that included an interrogation of a grievance filed against Jerry some forty years ago. Steele, Yona and a guy named Brian Staines, Connecticut’s “Chief Disciplinary Counsel” led the charge to shut Jerry down for life, for no other reason than they could. Power sometimes goes to people’s head. “Many lawyers are not as mean as lawyers are stereotypically portrayed, but some attorneys go over the top in inflicting pain. Often, lawyers seemingly have no purpose other than to obtain personal gratification at causing irritation to others,” Jordan Rothman.

There was one dissenting opinion to their cruel and unusual punishment of my bunkie Jerry, by compassionate Attorney Daniel J. Horgan, who wrote: “The applicant had a few minor complaints levied by clients in the late 1980’s when he was a young and inexperienced lawyer. Since then and up until 2015, he has had a clean record consisting of no grievances or malpractice claims filed. We can show some faith in the power of redemption by reinstating 70-year-old Jerry Gruenbaum’s license to practice law. ‘Second chances are not given to make things right, but to prove that we can be better even after we fall.’” Horgan is the President of the Connecticut Bar Association, a “booster” organization that promotes the legal profession.

You would think that Steele and Jewish mother Yona Gregory would also wish to help other lawyers, such as this 70 year old Jewish grandfather, when they become scapegoats and easy targets for Bar regulators and Judges looking to inflict pain while letting other lawyers, mostly goyim, in like Flynn, like attorney Guy McDonough, who was recommended for reinstatement after three arrests for driving while intoxicated, subject to the condition that he attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Jerry never got drunk and endangered public lives by getting behind the wheel of a three thousand pound piece of machinery. 67 year old criminal defense Jew lawyer Richard Silverstein just got suspended for one year because he bounced a $250.00 check on his IOLTA account. He’s never coming back. Black lawyers get hammered even worse than the Jew lawyers by the judicial authorities. Black civil rights attorney Josephine Smalls Miller got a ten year disbarment from Judge Barbara Bellis, which the Federal District Court refused to recognize, creating a huge embarrassment for the Connecticut Judiciary. My sources deep inside the Deep State Judiciary informed me that Bellis may be forced to retire for the cluster#%^ she created. I am currently interviewing for a Watergate style “deep throat” employee (not what you are thinking you sicko) deep inside the Connecticut Judiciary and / or the governors office, it doesn’t matter, I can refocus my blog. Did I use the word “deep” too much? It must be because I don’t use AI, its pure unfiltered, unadulterated Noodles.

White Italian American heterosexual male Attorney Lou Rubano only got a six month suspension after he stole at least a quarter million dollars from the State of Connecticut over a ten to twenty year period by not paying back welfare liens on his cases. Lou was back in business chasing ambulances and hustling personal injury cases in the Black community, resulting in Lou being on the “team” of lawyers who settled the police brutality case brought by Black man Randy Cox against the City of New Haven for almost fifty million dollars. Judge Antonio Robaina wrote a letter of support for Mr. Rubano arguing that Lou did not “benefit personally” from his “theft,” yet Mr. Rubano’s theft most likely conferred upon him a competitive advantage in the Black community, enabling him to generate new personal injury clients in a field where attorneys commonly market themselves based on the monetary recoveries they secure for clients. Word on the street is that Rubano gives you all da money! The co-defendant in my Federal criminal case, ie., former Milford Mayoral candidate Genevieve Salvatore also got quickly readmitted, in like Flynn, no questions asked, while my law license got denied multiple times because the Bar authorities don’t believe in the First Amendment and have punished me because of the content of this blog. Didn’t you people learn about the First Amendment in law school? I am currently on appeal.

What was even more maddening about the decision to shut down Jerry, no less than two times, over the course of four years, as the application process is long and time consuming, is that Judge Matthew Frechette upheld their decision. I used to share office space with Matthew Frechette and his father Roger Frechette Sr, and his brother Roger Frechette Jr, on Trumbull Street in New Haven when I was practicing law for twenty some odd years. Matt’s father Roger, now deceased, was a very prominent lawyer in New Haven, he was the former corporation counsel at one time. He did a lot of work zealously defending lawyers who had disciplinary problems with the CT Bar.

I rented an office from Roger on the second floor of his building. Roger Sr. worked out of the basement with his daughters who worked as his secretaries. Roger Jr. also worked out of a small room in the basement. Roger Jr. wasn’t an attorney, he was a college grad and did paralegal work his father. Roger Jr. was a bit of a loner. Roger Jr. had a serious alcohol problem. I once shared my space with a psychologist, and he tried to help Roger with his drinking problem. When I got into the office at around 9 AM Roger Jr. would already be in his office smoking and drinking a beer. He worked in a cloud of smoke all day in a cramped little office. He was always on edge. It was hard to talk to him without him blowing up. Matt worked out of an office on the first floor, right below my office. Matt was always considered to be a fair minded guy, and his father always defended lawyers against he CT bar regulators, who act like la cosa nostra, so I was quite shocked when I saw that he shut down Jerry’s application. Frechette was joined by Judges Barbara Bailey Jongbloed and Judge Nicole Tung. Jongbloed is a former prosecutor with hard core political connections and Tung formerly worked for Big Law.

Matt and Roger used to be somewhat friendly with pedophile Rabbi Daniel Greer, but nothing more than acquaintances. I think Greer knew Roger from the old days when Roger was deep in New Haven politics. Whatever the reason, every year the old Goat insisted on having Roger, and his son Matthew meet every Passover to sign documents “selling” their bread to the Frechette goyim. Religious Jews are not allowed to own bread products during the week of Passover. After Passover the Goat would purchase the bread back from the Frechette goyim. I remember the Goat used to boast about how his “chametz” ie., bread, was sold to a prominent lawyer and budding Junior Judge, as if anyone would be impressed.

A couple of months after I moved out of the Frechette building my old office was left vacant. There were long, thick computer wires hanging out of the wall. Roger Jr. took the wires and wrapped them around his neck. He then dropped himself over the banister with the wires strangling him just below my office and across from his brother’s first floor office. It was very tragic. He was only about 50 years old.

Yona Gregory appears to be the least qualified of the above attorneys to serve on any kind of ethical panel. Yona got sued in 2024 by a buyer in a closing where she represented the seller. The buyer Michael Hasse claimed that Yona and the seller refused to allow a walk through and failed to disclose mechanical problems with the house. Yona’s case got dismissed because the Plaintiff couldn’t show that Yona had any relationship with him in the closing. Yona brought a defamation lawsuit in 2021 against a seller and realtor and former Republican Congressional candidate named Lori Hopkins Cavanagh, in a closing in which Yona represented the buyer. Yona claimed that Lori sent an email to the realtor and the other attorney that stated that Yona was an “unethical attorney.” Yona claimed she was somehow damaged in her reputation by this one email. PLEASE! Yona’s case was dismissed by Judge Goodrow, a good Judge, who ruled that Lori’s statements were protected “opinions” under the First Amendment. Yona had hired a New London lawyer named Lloyd L. Langhammer to represent her in the defamation lawsuit, who Lori alleges share office space.

Lori recently filed a lawsuit against Yoni and Langhammer alleging that Yoni’s defamation lawsuit was vexatious, among other things. Lori alleged the following in her complaint: “For the entire duration of the Gregory litigation, the Plaintiff received numerous anonymous mailings at her residences, containing offensive and humiliating materials. These materials included condoms, tampons, and written messages mocking the Plaintiff for representing herself in court. Without her consent or desire, the Plaintiff was subscribed to dozens of magazines and newspapers resulting in a barrage of junk mail and invoices. Several mailings referenced presiding Judge Robert Young, and another included Attorney Langhammer’s logo and contact information while ridiculing self-representation. The majority mocked the Plaintiff for appearing sui juris or pro se.”

What the heck is in the water in New London that is making these attorneys bat dreck crazy??? In my humble opinion Yona Gregory is a total freak. And Langhammer is even freakier. That’s just my opinion, not a statement of fact. I don’t want Yona and Langhammer suing me for defamation.
